About Us

In the summer of 2000, Michael and I decided to move from our home in Tucson to find a smaller town to start our family.  Michael had worked as a camp councilor for 6 summers in Prescott, was familiar with the area, and suggested we cIn Fieldheck it out together.  I fell in love with the small town atmosphere: Prescott immediately put a spell on me!  A couple of months later, we bought our house and moved.  We have enjoyed it here since.

Besides being successful parents, we have a range of experience.  Michael has taught K-12 in both public and private schools, has eight years of camp staff experience and is currently an instructor at Yavapai College.  I, Anne, helped raise my youngest siblings, have been a youth mentor through church groups and a small business owner for years.  When we started having a family, I changed my focus to raising our children.  Both of us were Big Brother's / Sister's for years (we still get together with our Little, even though she's not a Little anymore!).  We have been involved in the community through a variety of volunteer programs including Neighbor to Neighbor and Youth Count.

We have two girls, Ash and Eden, who are both Prescott natives.  Both Michael and I enjoy teaching our girls the many things we want them to know, from the love of reading, manners, counting, to creative thinking and much more.

Michael and I feel that we are living our dream right now.  Before we even had met, both of us wanted to find a spouse, settle down, and have two children.  We now have each other and our two kids - our dreams have come true!  We love our girls and enjoy walking with them around Willow Lake, saying hello to the animals at the zoo, feeding the ducks at Goldwater Lake, and many other activities.

We also have fun with our mini-farm here at the house. We have eight hens that we daily collect eggs from and whom often roam around the yard, a female medium-sized mutt named Thunder, an outdoor cat named Sage, an indoor cat named Poppy, a small fish aquarium and last, but not least, a Whiptail lizard named Blue Stripeman.

Both Michael and I have certifications in CPR and First Aid.  We also have signed up with the federal Child Care Food Program to insure that your child will be fed healthy meals and snacks.
